The Winter Warmers We All Love.

The Queensland Wine Centre would love to share our heart warming fresh ideas over the next couple of months. Please feel free to reply and write in a favourite recipe that perhaps you have made using one of our products to share!

Here is one I have prepared often!

Chocolate Port Coulee` Dessert. This is literally the quickest most striking looking you can make in just 3 minutes! Ingredients consist of a packet of mixed frozen berries, Cedar Creek's 'Another Brew' Chocolate Port, and a Vienetta Ice Cream Bar Cake.

Method: over a gentle heat on the stove and depending how many people you are preparing for you pour the relative amount of frozen berries into the pot. Then pour the relative amount of Chocolate port into the pot with the berries. Warm gently, do not boil. Pour immediately over Vienetta Bar Ice Cream cake and serve, with a small port on the side. YUM! YUM!

[Verdelho Grapes]
Verdelho is a white wine grape grown throughout Portugal, though most associated with the island of
Madeira, and also gives its name to one of the four main types of Madeira wine.
Portugal is about the same distance north of the equator as Queensland is south of the equator,so, we share a similar climate.
Is it any wonder this lovely grape variety grows well here in Qld and is become Queensland's signature grape variety.
At the Queensland Wine Centre, our new harvest of verdelho has hit our shelves. It can be described as very tropical fruit to the nose but is a very fruit driven dry white.
